From small domestic additions with just a few piles, for driven piles for new houses, through to large commercial developments, Darlington Drilling and Piling are able to offer driven timber piles, driven UC or UB steel piles and driven railway iron piles.
Driven timber piles from 150mm small end diameter (SED) through to 350mm SED. 150mm SED timber piles are the most common house piles driven with 175mm SED and 200mm SED also driven for houses.
Driven UC or UB steel piles, including providing galvanised when required, are driven in a range of sizes and lengths for projects such as footbridge foundations, commercial buildings and retaining walls.
Driven railway iron piles, while most commonly used for rural roadside retaining walls, driven rails are a practical option for building foundation piles where piles are required to be driven through difficult ground conditions where timber piles could not be driven without damage.
Starting with our 6-wheeled Toyota piling rig through to our SK235 (25T) excavator mounted piling rig we have piling rigs using drop hammers of 500kg, 570kg and 870kg, excavator mounted vibro-plate driver, excavator mounted hydraulic breaker/driver system and an excavator mounted hydraulic vibratory hammer. We can also offer pre-drilling or pre-punching on difficult or sensitive sites.
